Tomas Bauer is a design and visualization specialist with a passion for creating memorable visuals that tell the story of design. Tomas is an expert on computer-generated imagery with 20 years of experience in the visualization industry. In his work, Tomas drives on inspirations and influences of the contemporary design trends as well as the rich traditional forms and formal languages of the past. The other strong influence is a technology and the concepts and techniques of computer 3-D space - the new tectonics and aesthetics of the future.
Since establishing his full-time freelance business in New York in 2008, Tomas has completed a wealth of commissioned works for well-known brands, studios, companies, and entrepreneurs in the U.S. and internationally. While the bulk of Tomas' work is concerned with buildings, the built environment and it's design process, cross-disciplinary nature of visualization and Tomas' interest in advancing into new industries made it possible for him to accumulate over the years invaluable experience and portfolio of work collaborating with design teams from a multitude of fields such as architecture, interior design, product design, creative, advertising, store-design, real-estate development, software development, marketing, naval design, luxury retail, fashion, event and branding among others.
Tomas holds Master of Architecture degree from the Slovak University of Technology and before establishing his design and visualization consultancy, he has worked as an in-house architect and visualization specialist at several well-known architectural and interior design offices in New York City. Among the most notable were Frederic Schwartz Architect, Pei Cobb Freed, and Partners Architects and Peter Marino Architect. During this time, Tomas took part in all phases of the design process and was a team member of winning international architectural competitions.
